Horizon Housing Development, Edinburgh is a two block residential development consisting of one, two and three bedroom apartments, duplexes and penthouses. Work has begun onsite with a 70 week construction period for the first block of apartments. The works will be carried out by Dunne Building & Civil Engineering Ltd which will include a Post-Tensioned Concrete Frame designed and installed by Conforce Ltd. 210mm deep flat slabs are to be installed throughout which require no up or down stands, resulting in easier access for service integration and co-ordination due to the increased ceiling void. Each floor is constructed over a period of one week with each floor poured completely at each visit, so that no movement joints are required.

The development will not only revitalise and enhance the area, but will eventually provide the people of Edinburgh with a unique living environment, minutes from the city centre at an affordable price.
