Fountainbridge, Edinburgh

The development at Fountainbridge North Springside, near the city centre in Edinburgh comprises of various residential buildings up to 6 levels built off a podium and totalling 6500m² of post tensioned slabs.

The awarded contract includes the design supply and install of the post tensioning system to a total of 14 slabs in buildings A2, B3, B1 and C1.

The slabs are of various spans up to 8.4m and the floor plate shapes also vary but the post tensioned slab depths were standardised at an early stage of scheme design at 260mm.

This is the first phase in a large development which it is hoped will bring further similar work on this site in due course.
