ConForce were very pleased to be awarded this contract by John Cooper Construction in December 2008 for the supply, installation, stressing, and grouting of tendons on this site. The project includes office and residential accommodation and is located at a prime site near to Harbourside and the city centre. ConForce are supplying and installing the post tensioning system to a total of 7500m² of slabs on 5 floors; the design calculations and drawings of the post tensioned slabs are by Arup (Bristol office). The slabs are 275mm thick and all tendons are 4/13 bonded. The detailed requirements of the Arup Specification and the CARES QA procedures have been addressed using a combination of experienced site staff and proven materials and methods including the use of premixed Cable Grout by TECROC. This product gives all parties assurances regarding the various properties required of the grout. ConForce started on site in March 2009 with a planned duration of approximately 4 months.
